Starting a project
Create a project with a name, category, and starting budget or original contract amount. Contractor details, dates, and contingency can be added or edited later.
Editing project activity
Click a change, contingency line, or payment entry from the dashboard to edit it. Saved edits immediately recalculate the project totals.
Pricing
CheckMyRemodel is $19 per project under the current pricing model. There is no recurring subscription.
Something looks wrong
Check that approved changes, credits, and payments were entered with the correct status and amount. Pending changes do not count toward the approved project total.
Frequently asked questions
How do I enter a contractor credit?
Enter the credit as a negative change amount. Once approved, it reduces the net approved changes and projected final cost.
Why is a pending change not included in my project total?
Pending changes are shown separately as possible exposure. They affect the potential total but not the approved project cost until you mark them approved.
Can I edit an old payment or change?
Yes. Click the line item from the dashboard, Changes page, Payments page, or Recent Activity list and save the correction.
Can I have more than one project?
Yes. Use the New Project button in the dashboard and switch between projects from the project selector.
